Laissez les bon temps rouler, nerds!

Lately: the good times have been rolling all over the place.

Last Saturday I had a blast performing to the tune of Pat Benatar’s 80s epic We Belong for the finally final episode of tRUNKs @ Buntport. I cannot express enough how much I love Buntport. My tRUNKs highlight: Jess as The Mild Thing. Jesus Christ that sh*t is funny. She should make a whole Mild Thing solo show. I would pay a dozen dollars to see it.

Also: I got to wear some sort of weird kangaroo (maybe squirrel?) head piece literally all day for my role as a space animal. I’m pretty sure Erin made it.

Later: LA, Virginia, Michelle and I had dinner, and then met Joan and Trent back at Buntport headquarters to see their beautiful new original piece WAKE. You should go see it: it’s, like, woah. After, Erin, Byron, and Adam joined us for post showness. We went to Racine’s because: there were a lot of us, and honestly, we knew it would mean that we would get to see Josh & Jim, which we did. At Racine’s Erin told a super hilarious story about Byron getting really angry. I will not repeat it here. Suffice it to say: Erin has a lot of inappropriate, funny stories.

Erin also let me know that her mother is worried about me because I post so many pictures of my cats on Facebook. Erin let her know that as soon as all my asshole friends with kids tone it down with their kid pictures: I will tone it down with the cat pictures. Until then, there’s a lot of this:

Just wook at those wittle faces!

In other news: I am trying to stay ahead of my American Theatre students, but am just barely surviving. However: here’s a sampling of next week’s reading:

Streetcar

If only we were reading it this week! We could have a big party and eat a King Cake! But we’re not, so we won’t. And Blanche will definitely still die of something as ridiculous as she suspects rather than dying from too much fun.

Today is Valentine’s Day! LA is terrible at keeping secrets or suppressing much of anything, really, so when I arrived home from work on Tuesday, this was waiting for me on the coffee table:

terrarium!

YOU GUYS: I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS TERRARIUM. I have been wanting one for a while and just kept putting it off and then I saw this one in a catalog and was like “holy sh*t: that’s the one. THAT’S THE ONE.” And now: I own it!

LA decorated it with tiny, creepy babies and army men, which made it even better! It is seriously enormous. I had no idea it would be so huge and AWESOME.

I got her the biggest jar of peanut butter I could find: (etc).

Sh*t just got real, y’all.

Now: it is snowing outside. Kind of a lot.

And I have a dance party to get to. Come!
