In no particular order:
1. I purchased new bedding. For a variety of reasons: it was time.
2. I went to Robert Spellman’s lecture at the SWP, titled “Willa Cather goes to Naropa.” There is an extensive bibliography. Just when he thought there were no more questions: there was another question.
3. I got super close to a really tiny bunny. It lives in LA’s parents’ backyard.
4. I hung out with a worm child and her older sister. Also: their mother.
5. Erin and I went to Counterpath Press to see Christina’s fancy talk on Sasquatch, which was very informative. After: she showed some of her videos, which were fantastic. Here’s one: Tracking Sasquatch
6. Janet came to Boulder and I bought one of her fancy, limited edition plastic records.
7. BABY SHOWER! Alana and Brandon are having a baby. At the baby shower, I got to see some cool people that I don’t always get to see, and I got to hang out with Frances Eliza Dartt.
8. Lisa, Bhanu, Andrea, & Melissa came over for happy hour. It was fun. We talked about Bhanu and Andrea’s reading, which happened earlier that week, and for which I banged some pipes together and tried to evoke a feeling of unease. Overall: the reading was a success, as was the happy hour.
9. Yoshimi threw up a very large hairball. Later: I stepped in it.
10. Lisa and I had drinks after her fabulous reading. We were like kids stuck at the kids’ table at Thanksgiving, only: we wanted to be at the kids’ table. Eventually: Michelle brought us nachos.
11. LA sent off the paperwork for her Berlin residency.
12. The new chairs arrived!
13. I started getting excited about the prospect of snow. And maybe: the beach.
