Don’t Pretend You Didn’t.

(miss me).

I have been very, very busy. I’m sure you have, too.

Here’s what happened over the last couple of weeks:

LA and I bought our first piece of furniture together. It’s really gorgeous. I’m pretty excited about it.

Dresser!

I have more t-shirts so I get the extra drawer.

square moved The Ding Dongs to Denver. The show worked really well in the space, aside from the lack of electricity. That was a problem. I saw Jess punching the air several times when she thought nobody was looking. Regardless: we mostly had fun and Denver was a very gracious host.

Brenda came to see the show! She seemed to like it. It snowed the day she arrived (of course). This is what it looked like from my office at Naropa early in the day:

Naropa snow

It only got worse. Brenda was like “wtf.” I took her out for pizza, which I don’t think they have in NY.

The next day, it was sunny and all the snow melted. I took this picture of a sycamore tree @ Naropa:

The sycamores are my favorites.

While my students at Naropa were completing course evaluations, I noticed this graffiti:

F Word

Clever hippies. My students took what felt like forever to complete their evaluations. I was outside a long time.

After her workshop on Saturday, Brenda, LA and I had some sushi, and then I had a brilliant idea: I would drive Brenda up the canyon to Nederland. It was a beautiful day. We went to the magical rocks and crystals store, bought some magical rocks from one of my Naropa students, and then headed back down to Boulder. This trip gave Brenda altitude sickness. I’m such an idiot. I made my friend super, super sick. She may have just been trying to get out of helping with strike, though…

It was announced last week that Neutral Milk Hotel are reuniting and going on tour. WHAT. THIS IS BIG NEWS.

Yesterday: Yoshimi and I got some cuddles in.

Today: I got tickets to see St. Vincent and David Byrne in Denver this July.

I have lots and lots of papers to grade.

I just heard on the news that there is a giant African snail that is notorious for spreading deadly meningitis on the loose in Houston. Of course.
