The week was full of good things: lots & lots of good things.
Tuesday I blew off yoga to grab a drink with Jenna. There was fondue involved. It was fun. We went to the Boulder Cafe, where I normally rarely go but have ended up a lot lately. They have $3 beers for happy hour times! What’s not to love. (Secretly: I feel that the food is pretty bland in general, especially since they don’t have nachos anymore!).
Lisa FINALLY came home after what must be the longest trip a person has ever made to Australia in the history of time. We went out for drinks and I had the gumbo at the Corner Bar, which was surprisingly good. She brought me this prize:
I am! She knows. All the important people do.
In my American Theatre class we talked about A Streetcar Named Desire and Death of a Salesman. There is so much to say about both of these works. More than we could ever cover in a week, obviously. It’s just a lot. Next up: Picnic and Long Day’s Journey Into Night. Viva America!
The decor up in this joint continues to evolve:
It is 10: it is the two of us: it is the living room: it is the way.
Yesterday was the first read-through for a play that I am in this Spring. It is called The Ding Dongs (or What is the Penalty in Portugal?). The play is awesome. And super weird. And funny. And then: really not. My friend Brenda wrote it in her spare time. The read-through was great! I’m really excited about the people in the room: I think we’re going to have a lot of fun.
It has snowed all day today. Literally: all day. I have not left my apartment. Charlotte and Brad arrived this afternoon. They are passing through on a road trip from Chicago to Los Angeles, where they are relocating for yoga purposes. Soon: we will go eat dinner. Brad has never been to Boulder before and is very excited about visiting the Mountain Sun. For good reason, obviously.
Apparently: the Academy Awards are tonight. I give exactly zero shits about this event. Not a single shit do I have to give. I have reading to do, art to make, life to live: lots and lots.
