Idle Hands

…are the Devil’s playground. So they say.

To that end: I have been very busy. Heaven awaits, I suppose (though not for a long, long while).

44 Plays for 44 Presidents opens in a week and we’ve been very busy preparing for the big day(s). We hope that you will join us.

I made a video. It’s kind of a love letter to Bill Clinton, who I believe was our most pimpin’ prez. I love that guy. Not because of the pimpin’: because of the smarts. I also included some footage from an old NASA video, which you’ll find relevant if you check out the show (but mostly because I love outer space! Let’s go there sometime!).

Meanwhile, other stuff continues to happen. For instance: this week, my students at CU read Hedda Gabler, which we are currently discussing. Most of them hated it. They said it was “boring.” This is disappointing. I don’t know what to think about the future: someday these kids will be in charge. I find this somewhat terrifying. Because if they think Hedda Gabler is “boring” then, well…I just don’t know what to think.

It was *supposed* to be 70 degrees yesterday. Not even close. I was freezing all day. The leaves are changing, and so am I.

  1. I swear… You’ve taken yet another job on the side writing commercials. Like that car commercial where the hairdo starts talking how the person REALLY feels. Yeah, that one.
