Observations on the Day.

1. It is suddenly very cold out. This is not something I enjoy. It is not comfortable for me to expose my ankles on this day and let me tell you: my ankles very much want out.

2. Today, LSU was felled by Florida. I find this disappointing, to say the least.

3. As I was vacuuming earlier, I listened to Grizzly Bear’s new album, Shields. When I first listened to the album a couple of weeks ago, I was a bit…underwhelmed. But it’s growing on me. I love how layered their music is. It’s complicated. But not.

4. I am learning to breathe. I do believe that all this oxygen is doing me good.

5. Presidential debates are essentially meaningless. So I won’t be watching them.

6. Everything looks better in red light: even orphan-by-genocide. Side note: when they tell you that the war paint will easily wash off: don’t believe them.

7. Lately I find technology to be unnecessarily overwhelming.

8. I don’t especially like to know the details of grisly murders. But I feel compelled to read them anyway.

9. There’s a great deal to be learned from sobriety. I have cat-like reflexes & a lot to offer, for instance.

10. You are not what they think you are. Neither am I.
