It’s that time of the year, people, people, please: FRINGE TIME. So far, Kelsie and I are having a blast. This Show Might Be Terrible opened yesterday and was, in fact: NOT terrible. What is was: SOLD OUT. That’s how I like to open the Fringe, with some sold out comedy! People are loving it, so I hope that you will be able to see it. It was also really great to have tons of friends there supporting the work. I have great friends, this I know.
It’s been terrific having Kelsie around the last several days. We’ve been having a ton of fun comparing eyelashes and getting our nails did. One of my favorite things about Kelsie: she doesn’t seem to mind the conversations I make her have with my cats. They’re good chats!
We also laughed our asses off at this video, which we watched several times:
So many quotables! “You’re my mentor, too!”
Kels and I have seen some other great Fringe shows that are worth checking out, most notably Pi’s The Good, The Bad, and the Stupid, Bare Bait’s How to Open a Cupboard, and High Fiction presents The Battle of the Bands, for which I served as the Guest Judge last night. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I had a lot of fun, and honestly, the show is worth checking out for the venue alone: that sh*t is crazy! It’s the most magical place I have been in a very, VERY long time. Here’s a picture just to give you a taste, but trust: this does not do it full justice:
I really want to take you there. Let’s make a date.
